Professors Who Live What They Teach
Theology courses offered by Domuni are taught by dedicated professors , many of whom live in community. Living a life that practices what it believes, these professors are a part of providing an ongoing search for theological knowledge and wisdom.
Reknowned Specialists
Domuni recruits teachers that are specialists in Theology & Philosophy, by virture of their doctoral degrees, and especially due to their engagement with academic research. Our faculty is comprised of more than 100 teachers, over 80% of whom are Dominicans.
From Teachers to International Researchers
Domuni’s professors are active in international, university-level research by virtue of publishing works in noted academic journals, as well as by participating in think-tanks and research centers.
A Direct Relationship Between Student & Teacher
While a student is enrolled in a degree program, they build a relationship with the professor in each one of their courses : it is possible to pose questions directly to the professor, and students also are in contact with them as they turn in assignments and receive evaluations.
Beyond this, a student will also benefit from having a tutor throughout the duration of their studies.
Personalized Tutoring Services
The role of the tutor (or teaching assistant) is to accompany the student, to stimulate them intellectually, and to help them to deal with any administrative hurdles that may arise.
The appraoch of the university is to support interaction between students & professors.
- each student is guided by a teacher throughout the duration of their studies.
- Questions from the group of students in a given course can be posed to the professor via the course Q&A Forum
- Questions from an individual student can be sent privately to the professor via email
- Questions and advice pertaining to the course of studies can be asked of the tutor via the Tutorial Forum
