Life-long Learning: Courses à la Carte
Since its founding as a Dominican university, Domuni has had, as an objective, to be able to transmit the great lessons inherited over 8 centuries of rich Dominican intellectual tradition. As such, ourcourses are are not only reserved to students enrolled in a degree program : the courses are open to all who desire to, little-by-little, discover and deepen certain aspects of theological and philosophical inquiry. More than 250 courses can be undertaken à la carte.
The courses on offer in certificate- and formation programs, which are sourced from the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, can be taken à la carte in two ways : etiher as audited courses, or as credit-earning courses (with access to the online campus, the professor, tutorial services, and graded assignments included in this latter option).
· Audited Courses
These courses are offered as read-only courses. The student recieves the course in pdf format by email, and is not given the right to access class discussion forums, nor interactions moderated by a philosopher or a theologian.
· Courses with academic instruction and student evaluation
These courses are supervised by the course professor and the student joins in with the students who are enrolled in the Bachelors’ and Masters’ programs. The student benefits from the same instructional services, like the methodology workshop, for example. He or she also has access to the Q&A forms, and to exchanges moderated by a philosopher or theologian. Evaluated within 12 months, these credit-earning courses are awarded 3 ECTS, which are then transferable to a formal degree program, or another academic institution.
